Willoughby Kids

Willoughby Kids is a place where kids can belong, make friends, learn about faith and discover who Jesus is.

We believe every child is unique, so we prioritize serving kids in flexible, engaging, and welcoming ways for children of different ages and stages. We want every child to feel safe, included, and valued for who they are. Furthermore, we also want every child to feel supported and seen and through valuing acessability and accommodations.

Orange Curriculum & Parent Resources

At Willoughby Kids, we use Orange curriculum to help children grow in their faith through practical and engaging teaching and activties and rooted in God's story. We want to help kids discover who God is and what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life.

We also believe that parents and caregivers play a crucial role in a child's faith journey. Therefore,  we encourage families to use the Parent Cue app, which provides tools and resources for conversation starters, devotionals, and resources that connect what what children are learning on Sundays to home.

Practicing and discovering faith isn't limited to an hour on Sunday, but an ongoing journey that grows in homes, around dinner tables, and throughout the rhythms of family life.

Child Protection Policy

Willoughby Kids priorities fun, safe, and child-friendly environments. Therefore, part of our process of care and trust includes the requirement for all our staff and volunteers to learn the Child Protection Policy and to complete a criminal record check. Your children's safety is our priority.

Intergenerational Worship and Meals Together

Once a month, we adapt our regular kids program and invite children to join us during our Sunday gathering's worship time. We believe in creating opportunites for all generations to worship together, learn from one another, and experience what it means to be part of God's family in community.

After our worship portion, children are dismissed and supervised in engaging open play until we gather again around the meal.

These Sundays are natural rhythm of our community, and hope to create space for conversations, friendships, and relationships to grow across generations. We love having our kids with us, not just as participants, but as valued members of our church family.
