We want to be a church that models the generosity of Jesus, locally and globally. As needs and opportunities arise and resources accrue in these two funds, we are able to be open-hearted and open-handed.
To prioritize financial generosity, we have made it a practice to set aside 5% of the general funds donated to Living Waters Church to give away to local organizations doing good work. We call this our "Generosity Fund."
Additionally, we have a "Global Work Fund" which serves our commitments to Global Workers and other initiatives around the world.
This May 2025, we are giving $10,000 out of our Generosity Fund, and $18,600 out of our Global Work fund:
$10,000 to Langley Community Health & Hospital Foundation's "Whatever It Takes Fund", which serves at-risk patients with complex needs by covering expenses for practical assistance that helps patients transition from hospital to home.
$12,600 to Matt & Amber Price and their ministry to refugees in Thailand. Serving them with bail funds for refugees, air conditioners and computers for their refugee center.
$5,000 to Nick & Cheryl Dekoning's ministry "Our Trees Our Future," promoting food security solutions in Uganda through the 'Breadfruit tree."
$1,000 to Joanna Skukas and University Christian Ministries: Serving students at SFU, BCIT, and UFV, as well as other campuses through a leadership retreat subsidy and a fall outreach program.
