Taste and See: An Invitation to Explore Ancient Pathways

In a world full of noise, demands, and disconnection, it can be easy to miss the goodness of God that’s all around us — and even within us. But the invitation still stands: “Taste and see that the Lord is good.” (Psalm 34:8) We want to create space for you to do just that — to taste something new, to see in a new way, and to experience God more fully.

You’re invited to join us for an evening designed to help us explore different pathways people throughout history have connected deeply with God. The night will begin with a short teaching, followed by your choice of hands-on workshops designed to make room for you to experience His presence in new ways.

Workshop Options:

Feasting on the Word through Lectio Divina We’re going to engage Scripture together through Lectio Divina—an ancient practice of sacred, prayerful reading that involves both heart and mind. Together, we’ll slow down, “ruminate” on a short passage, and savor God’s Word.

Prayer and Reflection through Painting - The arts engage a different part of us – enabling us to listen to Jesus differently. We’ll spend this workshop engaging in a reflective exercise through watercolour painting. No experience or skill is necessary, and all supplies will be provided.

Resting with God through Sabbath - What impact would it have on us to incorporate a Sabbath or sabbath-rest into our weekly routine?  We will look at what Sabbath is meant to be, as well as practical ways to set time aside in our daily and weekly routines to give us space to rest and restore.

Individual Track: Journaling with Jesus - Journaling can help us notice what’s happening beneath the surface and meet Jesus there. In this self-guided workshop, you’ll receive simple prompts and space to reflect, process, and listen. If you’re craving unhurried time with God but struggle to get there, this is the space for you!

We invite you to see the goodness of God in fresh ways. We can’t wait to journey with you!
