The Women's Retreat enables women to get away and connect intimately with God, while building long-lasting friendships with women across all ages and stages of life. This year’s theme is Deeply Rooted: Responding to God’s Transforming Work in Our Lives.
When we’re not rooted in Christ, life can feel unsettled and reactive. We’re easily shaken by circumstances, pulled in different directions, and often living from pressure instead of purpose. Faith can feel disconnected from our everyday life.
How do we root ourselves in Christ? What does that even mean? Throughout the retreat, we will explore those questions and consider intentional practices that help open us to His transforming grace. We look forward to a powerful weekend as we rest, worship, learn, and play together!
Our speaker for the weekend is Leanne McAlister:

Meet Leanne: “I love to help others understand who they were created to be and assist them in walking it out through their passion, purpose, and gifting. I firmly believe Ephesians 1:11 when it says, “It’s in Christ we find out who we are and what we are living for…He had His eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose He is working out in everything and everyone.” (MSG) After serving as an associate pastor for a decade, I founded the ZOE Network, which empowers, activates, and mobilizes women and men to participate fully in God’s mission.
My husband, Darcy, and I recently returned to Canada after five years ministering in Asia. Together, we help develop leaders through coaching, team building, consulting, and workshops. Our passion is for leaders to lead from a place of health and wholeness. I value authenticity, practicality, and humour. I have an MA in Ministerial Leadership, am a certified leadership coach, and I’m currently training for Spiritual Direction.”
Our worship leader for the weekend is Rebeca Monzo:

Meet Rebeca: "Hi! I’m Rebeca, and I’m one of the pastors here at Living Waters Church. A little about me: I love being an aunt, I’m a big fan of Funko Pops, and I really enjoy building Lego sets and curling up with a good book.
I also love to sing, and I’m especially excited to be leading worship again this year. There’s something really powerful about lifting our voices together and expressing our love for God through music. This time, I’m even more excited to be sharing the space with one of our students and getting to lead alongside them—it’s such a joy to see students step into their gifts and lead our community.
I’m really looking forward to worshiping with you, connecting more, and seeing how God continues to move among us. I can’t wait to get to know you better!"
