Registration is now closed!

Join us for our 1st Annual Women's Day on Saturday June 6th. It is a day full of activities and a great chance to get to know other women in our community.

The day will start with a tasty brunch (for the low cost of $10), with our special guest speaker Leah Storsley, and then we will head out to our various activities.

If you would like to come to Women's Day, please register below and pay in the lobby at the church by Sunday May 31st. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Joanne.

Please note payment for the event is soley for the brunch, each participant is responsible for paying for their chosen activity.

Speaker Profile

Fourteen years ago, Leah searched for God and found Him, which radically changed her life. Embarking on this new journey, Leah felt hope, joy, peace, and love - something that she had been longing for. Leah completed university and currently works in the public school system. Over the years, Leah and her husband Rod, have served the local church in various areas of ministry, including pastoring a church plant on Vancouver Island. There Leah led the women's ministry, taught kids church, ran the media, led a life group and had two baby girls in the process! A few years ago Leah and her family moved back to Langley and have been attending LWC for the past year. Leah recently completed the Zoe Leadership Course at LWC, and was greatly impacted by the Zoe Projects ocurring around the world. Leah is passionate about helping women thrive and is looking forward to sharing a meassage entitled: "Be Radiant or simply...Be Rad."

Activities:

Canoeing/Kayaking - Lisa Edwardson is heading up this activity, there is a cost and that is detremined by whether you want to canoe or kayak. There is a group rate available provided enough women sign up (minimum 10). Click here for more details on boat rental: Deer Lake

Road Cycling - Nicola Prigge is putting together a bike route starting and finishing at the church. This activity is no charge but you will need to provide your own bike.

Paintball - We cannot allow the men to have all the fun...so Rochelle Weigl is going to take a group to Panther Paintball in South Surrey. Cost is dependant on how long and how many balls you purchase. Click here for further information: Panther Paintball

Clay Art Painting - For those who prefer the quieter life and want to explore their creative side, join Lisa Neufeldt at Vikki's Clay Art Studio in Langley. The majority of peices range in price from $10 to $30. For more details click here: Vikki's Clay Art Studio

Castle Fun Park - If you're the type of gal that just wants to have fun then head out with Catherine Pageau to Castel Fun park in Abbostford. There are seveal activities to chose from, including but not limited to mini golf, go carts, bumber cars, batting cages and arcade games. Price will depend on the activity you chose. Each group will car pool from the church to their chosen activity. Passangers are asked to contribute toward gas and any toll bridge charges the drivers may incurr, please come prepared.
